Hello!!!
Hello everyone! I hope you have had an amazing month of August!! I have had a very relaxed month so far. Creatively, I have spent time in my journals, decorating my daughters room and I have fallen in love with doodling. I used to doodle on anything in my younger days, but I never until recently thought of it as a form of art. I have also spent a bit of time trying to organise my creative space, which seems to stay tidy until I go anywhere near it!! I am having a fight with my computer at the moment and it won't let me upload any photos..ggrrrr.Wishing everyone a creative weekend. Until next time...

Time for a catch up!!!
Hello everyone,
I have had my hands full with sick kids for a couple of weeks, just as one gets better, the other one gets it. There are awful bugs around at this time of year, but I am happy so say that we are almost fully recovered and bug free.
I set myself a little challenge a couple of weeks ago to stock up for the upcoming markets I have over the next few months. I have two babies, a 3 year old and a 1 year old, and the usual things that come with kids, a husband, running a household, and working part-time. Time management is so important!!!
I found myself taking far too long to get through projects I had set myself and spending a lot of time over-thinking and worrying about what my customers would want. The start of this month was a very creative time for me, so I wanted to harness that creativity and make the most of it. So I decided to make a journal a day until the end of the month, so August could be spent making other artsy fun stuff for my display. By the end of the month I had to have 22 journals made....

I managed to get 24 journals made!!! Yay. They all came together so easily and freely. After many late nights with my babies tucked up in bed I got there. There are still 2 days left in July so I am just finishing up a few with tags and other fun stuff. I also have another project underway that I am very excited about. I will put up more photos soon. Much love, and have a fantastic week...

What I've been up too!!!
We have had a busy week-month!!! I'm not too sure where June went, but I finished and delivered a custom order last weekend. I loved working on this journal, and had so much fun. Wishing the bride and groom a wonderful life together xx
I also took part in another market and had such a good day meeting the public and some very talented stall holders. My next few projects are under way, so I better go and start ticking things off my to do list!!!

Where to start?
I took part in my first craft market not long ago, once the nerves settled down and the customers started coming in I really enjoyed the day. My fellow stallholders were so wonderful, but it also helped to know there was another first timer as well as myself. I met some lovely people and also learned quite early in the day that there are people that will let you know what they think whether it is good or bad feedback. Unfortunately I had someone that did not like or "get" my creations and they were happy to jabber on about it right in front of me. I found this very hard to deal with at the time and it really shook me and my confidence as an artist. After seeking advice I am happy to say that I have moved on and have another craft market next weekend and will be much better prepared to deal with this situation if it should happen again.
Anyway I have so many projects on the go at the moment, that figuring out where to start is challenging!!! and fun, at least I won't get bored...I have a commission order that is coming along nicely and a ridiculous amount of journals in different stages of completion.
Really excited about this project, hot pink and black theme and this is the cover I came up with. This was my third attempt at the cover, and I am happy with this one, can't wait to fill it up.....

Trying to come up with some clever recycled storage options for the studio, shoe boxes are great for this and cheap and easy......
Until next time, I'm off to finish off some projects on my never ending to do list...have a lovely creative day.

Hello June
I can't believe we are 5 days into June already!!! I have had a very busy month of May, getting ready for my first ever craft market...in 3 days time...very nervous and excited. I have been making fun stuff for the stall for a couple of months now, and I'm very proud of the fact that every item is recycled in some way.
The hardest thing I have found about the past two months, in the lead up to my big day, is finding some creative time for me??? I am a wife, mama to my two beautiful kidlets, I work part time and try to run a busy household. So I am very grateful for the wonderful Jennibellie, if you are looking for a little inspiration or a clever way to get some creative juices flowing, please visit her blog. She is the reason I have taken the plunge to try and sell my work. I watched a video of hers where she talked about believing in yourself and something in my head and my heart went click. I have also learnt from her that by trusting my art and just letting it happen I don't need to find a lot of creative time, 10 minutes is plenty once I learnt to just let go.
A big thank-you to all the wonderful people on line who share their creativity with us.

Handmade Journal Madness
Over the last couple of months I have been making journals...a lot of journals!! They all have a recycled element to them and they are all different, although I have noticed I like to do things in pairs?, they are all still unique. So here's a few photos of some I have recently finished, I would love to do a video flip through, but I am just learning my way around my blog at the moment and I am not at all computer savvy..lol..who knows maybe I will one day.
These ones are my version of a Smash Book. Filled with all sorts of pretty papers, tea dyed papers, envelopes, anything I could find in my stash went in these...
A couple of art journals, filled with different artist papers...
Some Christmas themed journals to keep all those festive memories...
That's all for now until I get around to taking some photos of the others. Until next time....
