Where to start?

I took part in my first craft market not long ago, once the nerves settled down and the customers started coming in I really enjoyed the day. My fellow stallholders were so wonderful, but it also helped to know there was another first timer as well as myself. I met some lovely people and also learned quite early in the day that there are people that will let you know what they think whether it is good or bad feedback. Unfortunately I had someone that did not like or "get" my creations and they were happy to jabber on about it right in front of me. I found this very hard to deal with at the time and it really shook me and my confidence as an artist. After seeking advice I am happy to say that I have moved on and have another craft market next weekend and will be much better prepared to deal with this situation if it should happen again.

Anyway I have so many projects on the go at the moment, that figuring out where to start is challenging!!! and fun, at least I won't get bored...I have a commission order that is coming along nicely and a ridiculous amount of journals in different stages of completion.

Really excited about this project, hot pink and black theme and this is the cover I came up with. This was my third attempt at the cover, and I am happy with this one, can't wait to fill it up.....

Trying to come up with some clever recycled storage options for the studio, shoe boxes are great for this and cheap and easy......

Until next time, I'm off to finish off some projects on my never ending to do list...have a lovely creative day.

Hello June

I can't believe we are 5 days into June already!!! I have had a very busy month of May, getting ready for my first ever craft market...in 3 days time...very nervous and excited. I have been making fun stuff for the stall for a couple of months now, and I'm very proud of the fact that every item is recycled in some way.
The hardest thing I have found about the past two months, in the lead up to my big day, is finding some creative time for me??? I am a wife, mama to my two beautiful kidlets, I work part time and try to run a busy household. So I am very grateful for the wonderful Jennibellie, if you are looking for a little inspiration or a clever way to get some creative juices flowing, please visit her blog. She is the reason I have taken the plunge to try and sell my work. I watched a video of hers where she talked about believing in yourself and something in my head and my heart went click. I have also learnt from her that by trusting my art and just letting it happen I don't need to find a lot of creative time, 10 minutes is plenty once I learnt to just let go.
A big thank-you to all the wonderful people on line who share their creativity with us.
